REDW LLC, one of the Southwest’s largest and fastest growing CPA and business advisory firms, is pleased to announce the leadership transition of its Human Resources Consulting (HRC) practice to new Department Head Cristin M. Heyns-Bousliman, Esq., effective May 1, 2020.

The move is the culmination of a growth and succession plan several years in the making. Heyns-Bousliman joined REDW in February of 2020 as HRC Practice Leader with a goal of transitioning to Department Head by July 1, 2020. As part of this process, Heyns-Bousliman’s HR consulting and proactive HR compliance practice (Human Resources Experience, LLC) was merged into REDW.

REDW Managing Principal Steve Cogan said: “We couldn’t be more pleased to complete this transition ahead of schedule, especially during a highly disruptive time when addressing our clients’ COVID-19-related challenges has been a top priority. It was a team effort and everyone worked hard to make it possible, so kudos are in order to all involved.†Cogan added: “I especially would like to recognize and thank Carol Cochran, REDW Principal and immediate past Department Head, for her leadership, strategic guidance, and dedication to ensuring a smooth and successful transition.â€

Heyns-Bousliman’s legal skills and practical experience running an HR consulting firm have helped clients navigate all of the new employment laws passed in response to the coronavirus pandemic. Her background and expertise have helped build a strong team that will enable REDW to assist clients in dealing with the tough strategic HR issues that are sure to accompany economic reopening plans.

“Cristin will be integral to expanding the firm’s HR services and client base,†added Principal Carol Cochran, who is stepping down from the HRC Department Head role, but will continue to assist the department with reporting and strategic initiatives. “She has already made significant positive contributions to our team, skill sets, and processes, and will assist the department with consulting services and other key tasks.â€

“I’ve found a home here at REDW,†said Heyns-Bousliman, “and have already assembled an incredible team that will inevitably take the department in exciting new directions, as well as add new layers of depth to existing services.â€
