REDW Celebrates Successful Launch of Financial Literacy Program for Native American Youth

June 28, 2017

REDW LLC, one of the Southwest’s 10 largest certified public accounting and business consulting firms, is pleased to report the successful launch of a new Financial Literacy Program aimed at educating and empowering Native American youth—the fulfillment of one of the goals of the unique strategic partnership REDW formed in 2016 with Native American PGA TOUR Golfer and entrepreneur Notah Begay III.

The five-week Financial Literacy Program, inspired by Notah Begay and developed by REDW in cooperation with Junior Achievement of New Mexico, was offered as part of Santa Fe Indian School’s College and Career Readiness in 2016. The seminar-style classes, led by REDW staff members, focused in part on teaching financial literacy to junior and senior high school students, including managing finances, planning and budgeting, to help prepare them to function in the wider world. More information about the launch of the program can be found here.

Judged a great success and a valuable addition to the School’s curriculum, the Financial Literacy Program will become a regular course offering at the School.
