Meet Sam

Sam Bolen joined REDW in 2022 to lead the firm’s thriving Human Resources Consulting practice. She is an accomplished and versatile professional who guides clients in all functional areas of HR, including talent acquisition, compliance, policy administration, employee relations, investigations, performance management, training, and ongoing HR support. Her deep experience spans industries, employee cultures, and organizational complexity, from start-up/high growth businesses to large, well-established companies.

An expert in analyzing current client needs and designing programs that align with organizational objectives, Sam provides excellent project oversight and resource planning that help her team deliver impactful results. Her portfolio of work includes:

  • Developing policies for recruiting, hiring, onboarding and off-boarding
  • Leading change management initiatives, including acquisitions, mergers and reductions-in-force to support successful integration and smooth transitions
  • Drafting and implementing employee handbooks that comply with local, state and federal legislation
  • Conducting HR and organizational assessments to identify strengths, gaps, and opportunities for improvement
  • Creating and delivering dynamic training to leaders and teams across a variety of topics
  • Supporting clients in employee relations, engagement, and retention initiatives
  • Conducting complex and confidential HR investigations.

An outstanding communicator, Sam is able to tailor messaging for audiences ranging from C-suite executives to hourly team members. In previous positions, she has also implemented and maintained popular client HRIS and payroll systems, including Netchex, Paycor, Ultipro, and ADP.

Professional Qualifications

Sam has earned the prestigious Senior Certified Professional credential from the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM‑SCP) and the Tribal Human Resources Professional (THRP) designation from the National Native American Human Resources Association (NNAHRA).

She further strengthens her expertise through elite leadership development programs, including Leadership Women–Leadership Texas (Class of 2024), and the Spiirall Management Academy (Class of 2025–2026). These accomplishments underscore her commitment to advancing excellence in Tribal HR, elevating organizational performance, and leading with both strategic insight and cultural integrity.
