James (Chip) Dennedy, CPA/PFS, CFP®, AIF®

Since joining REDW in 1985, Chip Dennedy has been dedicated to helping his clients achieve financial success and peace of mind. He specializes in financial planning, consulting and training for individuals, businesses, governments, and Native American tribes and enterprises. His multifaceted experience makes him uniquely qualified to help clients with a wide variety of financial needs.
Before beginning his career in public accounting, Chip helped run a sizable family business and managed the accounting operations at a publicly held manufacturing company. As a result, he has a unique understanding and empathy for the business and financial needs of his clients. With over 30 years of public accounting and financial planning experience, he specializes in personal and business consulting and planning in investments, stock options, retirement, asset protection, estate planning and taxation.
Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Colorado with a concentration in Accounting, cum laude
Completed the Certified Financial Planner® (CFP®) program at the College for Financial Planning in Denver

Chip has served as chairman of the New Mexico Society of CPAs’ Financial Planning Committee and as president of the society’s Albuquerque Chapter. Internally, Chip serves on the REDW Wealth Investment Committee, which analyzes and selects appropriate investments for clients.

As a respected authority, Chip has published national articles and delivered presentations on numerous financial planning topics, including retirement planning, estate planning, investments and stock options.
Chip is a participant and graduate of the Leadership New Mexico and Leadership Albuquerque programs, and an active member of the New Mexico Estate Planning Council and the Financial Planning Association.
