His career spans critical sectors, including financial services, aviation, healthcare, manufacturing, and technology. Known for his ability to align security strategy with enterprise vision, transform IT organizations, and cultivate cyber-resilient cultures, John has long served as a trusted advisor to boards and executive teams.
Most recently serving as Global CIO and CISO at NetJets, a Berkshire Hathaway company, John led the transformation of IT into an Agile Product Management organization, dramatically improving delivery timelines and operational alignment. Under his leadership, cybersecurity maturity soared—NetJets became one of Forbes’ top 100 most secure companies in the U.S. John spearheaded the integration of AI and large language models into business processes, achieving 22% automation within targeted operations. He also guided NetJets through the 2024 CrowdStrike global outage, restoring operations in under five hours, which resulted in one of the highest revenue days in the company’s history.
Certified in CISA, CISM, CISSP, and CRISC, John is a lead instructor for CISSP and holistic information security courses. He also serves as a board advisor to emerging cybersecurity firms, including Mind.io, Guardare Security, and Tampa Bay Wave.
