In 2022, the NMSCPA honored Jimmy with a Lifetime Achievement Award in acknowledgement of his substantial contributions to the community, firm and profession of the past several decades. to celebrate James (Jimmy) D. Trujillo, CPA, as the recipient of the 2022 New Mexico Society of Certified Public Accountants (NMSCPA) Lifetime Achievement Award. Jimmy was also recognied by the U.S. Small Business Administration in 2004 as the New Mexico Financial Services Champion of the Year. The following year he was named “Co-rookie of the Year” by the New Mexico Amigos – the official goodwill ambassador group for the State of New Mexico.

Community Involvement

A former Chairman of the Albuquerque Hispano Chamber of Commerce and UNM’s Anderson School of Management Foundation, Jimmy also served as a Board Member and Finance Committee member of the NAIOP Commercial Real Estate Development Association’s New Mexico Chapter and as a Board Member and Finance Committee Chairman of UNM’s Alumni Association. A graduate of the Leadership New Mexico class of 2003-2004, Jimmy then served as Curriculum Vice Chairman, Board Chair, and Treasurer of that organization.
