REDW Advisors & CPAs is pleased to announce Judy Perkins has joined its growing Human Resources Consulting practice a Senior Account Executive. In her role, she will continue to provide executive level human resources services to clients as well as provide client management while also focusing on identifying and pursuing aligned new business opportunities.
Perkins, a published author on “all things HR,” brings more than 30 years of experience in guiding leaders of for-profit and non-profit organizations to REDW’s HR Consulting practice. She has worked across more than a dozen industries during her celebrated career, including aerospace, government, higher education, financial services, technology, substance recovery, social justice, start-ups, family businesses, manufacturing, and hospitality, most recently as owner of her own human resources consulting practice as well as Director of Human Resources for Ojo Spa Resorts and as Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Offices for a large community bank.
In addition to her role at REDW, Perkins is a member of the New Mexico Angels, New Mexico’s premier organization of angel investors supporting start-up and high-growth companies, where she also serves on the Strategic Planning Task Force. She is also a past director of the Society of Human Resources Management-New Mexico and both a past board member and past president of the Northern New Mexico Human Resources Association. Perkins also served on the Advisory Board of Directors for the Cultural Center of Cape Cod, YMCA Cape Cod, Cape Cod Human Resources Association, and Dennis Chamber of Commerce when she resided on the East Coast. She has been honored with the prestigious Human Resources Professional of the Year Award from the Society for Human Resources Management-New Mexico as well as the Directors Leadership Awards from YMCA Cape Cod.
Perkins earned her bachelor’s degree in social work from Syracuse University and her master’s in business administration from Clark University. She is also a Certified Primal Health Coach and certified by the Massachusetts Commission Again Discrimination as a trainer. She has been a practitioner and teacher of Thought Field Therapy (TFT), also called Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) for over two decades and is a former columnist for the Business Journals of Cape Cod and Worcester as well as the author of three American Management Association books and courses.
