Phoenix, AZ – March 10, 2021 – REDW LLC, a Top 200 Accounting Firm and one of the Southwest’s 10 largest CPA and business advisory firms, also recognized as the national leader serving tribes and tribal enterprises, announced today that Hattie Mitchell has joined its National Tribal Practice as a Senior Manager in the firm’s Phoenix office.

Hattie Mitchell is a member of the Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation (PBPN) and grew up on the PBPN reservation in Mayetta, Kansas. She served as the elected Tribal Treasurer from 2012 through 2016. Currently, she is Treasurer for the Native American Finance Officers Association (NAFOA) and is Treasurer for the Prairie Band Potawatomi Entertainment Corporation.
Prior to joining REDW, Mitchell was Tribal Controller for the Augustine Band of Cahuilla Indians in Coachella, California. She also has had management positions with AMERIND Risk at Santa Ana Pueblo, New Mexico, and Seneca Gaming Authority in Niagara Falls, New York.
Hattie is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), and earned a Bachelors in Business Administration with emphasis in Accounting and Finance from Washburn University in Topeka, Kansas. Her undergraduate studies also included programs at Cambridge University, Cambridge, England; Harvard Business School, Cambridge, Massachusetts; and Cantabria University, Santander, Spain.
