REDW Welcomes Four New Professionals to the Team

REDW LLC, one of the Southwest’s 10 largest certified public accounting and business consulting firms, is pleased to announce the addition of four talented professionals to the Firm’s Albuquerque and Phoenix offices: Nick Smith and Ernesto Ramirez as Audit Associates in Albuquerque and Phoenix, respectively; Valari Jinzo as an Accountant specializing in State and Local Tax (SALT) in REDW’s Albuquerque office; and Louis Millan, a Document Specialist tapped to assist REDW’s Audit & Consulting team in Phoenix. 

Nick Smith has joined REDW’s Audit & Consulting team as an experienced Audit Associate I, bringing over 10 years of accounting experience as an Accounts Payable/Receivable Specialist, primarily in the hospitality and food distribution industries, and as a Tax Preparer. Dedicated to public service, Nick has received the President’s Volunteer Service Award in recognition of tax and accounting services he has provided to his community, in addition to Civic Engagement certification from the Leadership Plenty Institute. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Lewis University and is qualified to sit the CPA exam. 

Ernesto Ramirez has joined REDW’s Audit & Consulting team as an Audit Associate I, bringing four years of experience as a Bookkeeper for a company specializing in concessions and food service. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting and Finance from the University of New Mexico’s Anderson School of Management. Previously, Ernesto served as a volunteer for the 2016 American Wind Energy Association Conference. 

Valari Jinzo has joined REDW’s Tax team as an Accountant specializing in State and Local Tax (SALT). In addition to earning her Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from the University of New Mexico’s Anderson School of Management, Valari gained valuable experience in public accounting interning as both a staff accountant and auditor at other Albuquerque CPA firms prior to joining REDW. She is also a member of Beta Alpha Psi, an international honor organization for accounting, finance and information systems students. 

Louis Millan has joined REDW’s Audit & Consulting team in Phoenix as a Document Specialist, following nearly three years as a Composition Specialist at an integrated business communications company. There, he gained significant experience in creating, formatting, proofreading and editing various types of legal documents. He holds an Associate of Arts degree with a concentration in Education and English from Glendale Community College.
