James Ortiz Joins Board of Directors for Albuquerque Hispano Chamber of Commerce

Albuquerque, NM — December 16, 2020 — REDW LLC is proud to announce James Ortiz, firm principal and State and Local Tax (SALT) Practice Leader, has joined the board of directors at the Albuquerque Hispano Chamber of Commerce (AHCC). James was officially welcomed to the board of the nation’s largest Hispanic chamber of commerce in a November 19 meeting.

As a new member of the board, James will join forces with community leaders who invest time, expertise and resources to promote business, education and growth in the City of Albuquerque. “Strengthening business and Albuquerque’s competitive edge through the present health crisis and beyond is critical to ensure our community’s continued success,†said James.

“I look forward to working with other AHCC board members to provide needed resources and strategic opportunities for business leaders.â€

Throughout the present economic crisis that has so drastically affected local business, James has been a pioneer in leading efforts to keep REDW clients and business leaders informed and updated on Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loans and other federal relief opportunities, as well as compliance requirements, providing clear and timely guidance through social media and by hosting regular webinars.

Since joining the firm in 2014, James has been recognized as one of Albuquerque Business First’s “40 Under Forty,†established and continues to grow the firm’s successful SALT practice, and was promoted to Principal in 2020.
