Tribal financial professionals are gathering once again in San Diego for the annual Fall Finance & Tribal Economies Conference organized by NAFOA, the Native American Finance Officers Association, to discuss current trends in tribal economic development and share valuable resources. Industry leader REDW is both sponsoring and exhibiting at this important event.
As one of REDW’s leading tribal financial experts, Audit Principal Chris Tyhurst will also take part on a panel to discuss “Navigating the Impact of GASB 103 on Financial Reporting” on Tuesday, September 24, 2:30-3:30 pm. In fact, Chris shared his insights on this topic earlier this year in a timely blog post.
Key Objectives of Statement 103:
The primary objective of Statement No. 103 is to enhance the effectiveness of the financial reporting model. This involves providing information crucial for decision-making and assessing governmental accountability. It also aims to address application issues identified through pre-agenda research conducted by GASB.
