Coronavirus Relief Fund Interim Payment Reports due Friday, July 17

July 14, 2020

Recipients of Coronavirus Relief Fund payments have until Friday, July 17, 2020 to file costs incurred from March 1 through June 30, 2020. The Treasury Office of the Inspector General (OIG) —which is responsible for monitoring and oversight of the receipt, disbursement and uses of the Coronavirus Relief Fund payments— has provided recipient reporting and record retention requirements, which OIG will also use for purposes of audits and investigations.

This memorandum, available here, provides requirements for interim reporting, quarterly reporting, and record retention. For the interim reporting requirements due no later than this Friday, July 17, see this spreadsheet to report costs incurred between March 1 and June 30.

Treasury OIG is developing a reporting portal that is expected to be operational on September 1, 2020 to receive the first quarterly reports, and each quarter thereafter. To prepare for this, each recipient is requested to provide points of contact information no later than July 17. The first “detailed†quarterly report, which should cover the same March 1 – June 30 time period, is due via the new portal on September 21, 2020.

Questions about the memorandum or completing the data request should be directed to CARES@oig.treas.gov.
