From the footprints he laid on a muddy, cinder track at the 1964 Olympics that set a world record and brought home gold, to his travels across the country speaking words of inspiration to Native youth, Billy will reflect on his lifetime journey to understand the legacy of the conflicting footprints set down by his indigenous and European ancestors—footfalls that still reverberate in our nation today. “It is important for us as individuals and as a country,” he says, “to understand these footprints as we collectively choreograph our journey into the horizon of our future.”
