Roe Belzer – Senior Vice President, Western Alliance Bank

Roe Belzer serves as SBA Production Manager at Western Alliance Bank, covering five banking divisions in California, Arizona, and Nevada, along with the metro cities of Salt Lake City, UT, Denver, CO, and Dallas, TX. Having spent the majority of his earlier career in Underwriting and Credit Administration, Roe Belzer joined the Bank in 2014 and helped launch Bank of Nevada’s SBA 7(a) lending program. Shortly thereafter, he expanded its SBA product offering to all WAB divisions, emphasizing partner buyouts and acquisition financing for small businesses less than $15 million in net worth and $5 million in average net income. Over the years, he has developed a boutique-style lending approach that simplifies the complexities of an M&A transaction by sound risk management practices and optimizing opportunities critical to value creation for both the Bank and its Clients through the SBA lending program.

Brian Foltyn – Principal, REDW Advisors & CPAs

Brian leads REDW’s Valuation & Related Financial Services practice, with over 25 years of professional experience in industry and public accounting. He provides a wide range of business valuation advisory services, including strategic planning, dispute advisory, and mergers & acquisitions. Since 2011, Brian has also served as an expert witness, actively providing litigation support services in accounting, economic damages, and business valuation. Brian has assisted clients in over 800 valuation and litigation engagements in numerous circumstances, including financial reporting, gift, and estate tax reporting, shareholder disputes, breach of contract, divorce, business interruption, shareholder redemptions, buy/sell agreements, acquisition and sale advisement, C to S conversion, and employee stock ownership plans (ESOPs). He has also performed evaluations of work prepared by other valuation professionals.

Dr. Larry Lerner – CEO and Principal, EMPIRE Business Solutions

Dr. Larry Lerner has been CEO and principal intermediary for EMPIRE Business Solutions since 1998. He has an MBA in Finance, a doctorate in clinical psychology and is a certified business intermediary (CBB). His primary role is helping his clients successful sell their companies. Dr. Lerner’s business history spans a number of entrepreneurial ventures, including an entertainment business on the east coast, a home improvement company in the south, packaging a $12 million Las Vegas show, collaboration on the corporate strategy behind Liberty Fitness, which was heralded by Entrepreneur magazine as one of the fastest growing franchises in the United States as well as several other business ventures. Charles Lin – Partner, Procopio Law Firm

Charles provides tax and estate planning counseling to high net-worth clients, including business owners, C-suite executives, and investors in real estate, and is the leader of Procopio’s Trusts and Estates practice. Providing outside general counsel services for many clients, much of his work includes entity formation and structuring and property tax reassessment issues. Charles focuses on all aspects of income, capital gains, gift, and estate tax planning, wealth and business succession planning, charitable planning, trust tax planning, and trust and probate administration. He advises cross-border and multi-national individuals and families on a number of international tax and estate planning issues, including, but not limited to, pre-immigration tax planning, expatriation, and investments in U.S. property.
