|Where:||Nashville Music City Center
201 5th Avenue South
Nashville, TN 37203
|When:||June 27-29, 2017|
A proud sponsor and exhibitor at this event, REDW is also pleased to offer the expertise of Principal Tal Moore as a speaker at three different interactive sessions concerning Organizational Development and Human Resources Consulting:
Compensation Strategies – Old v. New Pay Models
Tal will provide an overview of how tribal organizations typically compensate employees and discuss why their approach may not be working in today’s labor market. Discussion will include COLA v. Pay for Performance; Merit Pay v. Pay Adjustments; Compensation Surveys v. Studies; Effective Compensation Policies v. Ineffective Precedence; and more.
Human Resources Recordkeeping for the Non-HR Office
Many Tribal Organization and Housing Authority managers and staff wear multiple hats—and one has the letters “HR” on the front. Join this session if you manage the HR function with one, or no, staff members dedicated to HR. Essential to the HR function is understanding what should be in the employee file; how long “it” should be kept; and which documents should be in separate and secured files. These and other related questions will be explored and answered, and a sample Employee File Checklist will be provided.
Employee Handbooks & HR Policies – Move from the “Don’ts Guide” to the “Employee Play Book”
Employee Handbooks are often confused with HR Policies and Procedures. This session will explore the differences and how each document should complement the other in terms of conditions of employment, due process, standards of behavior, and more. Join the conversation and participate in the Field of Play to illustrate best practices. Sample templates and policies will be provided.
