REDW Stanley Financial Advisors Welcomes David Akerson and Ross Nettles
REDW LLC, one of the Southwest’s 10 largest certified public accounting and business consulting firms, is pleased to announce that David Akerson, Senior Investment Advisor, and Ross Nettles, Investment Analyst, have joined its SEC-registered subsidiary REDW Stanley Financial Advisors, LLC (REDW Stanley).
David Akerson brings more than two decades of management experience in investment services and has managed assets ranging from $1 to 5 billion. He joins REDW Stanley most recently from an Albuquerque-based investment firm, where he dedicated his time to tailoring investment strategies based on clients’ assets, liabilities, cash flow, insurance coverage, tax status, and financial objectives. Previously, he was the vice president for, and managed multiple offices at, a leading investment firm in the Bay Area.
David holds a B.S. in Sociology with a minor in Criminal Justice from Missouri State University. His certifications and designations include Series 7, 66, NM Life & Disability licenses. As part of his commitment to his community, David serves as Chairman of the Board for St. Felix Pantry, and is active in Albuquerque’s Hispano Chamber of Commerce. He has also volunteered for the United Way.
Ross Nettles brings extensive and diverse experience as a financial analyst, having served as a staff accountant at an investment advisory firm, as Chief Financial Officer at a Santa Fe high school, as well as General Manager of the New Mexico State University Golf Course. There, he parlayed his love of golf to serve as an award-winning men’s golf coach.
Ross holds a BBA with a major in Finance from the University of New Mexico and an MBA with a concentration in Finance from the College of Santa Fe. He currently holds a Series 65 Securities License and is in the final stages of completing his CPA licensure requirements, having passed all four parts of his CPA exam. Ross is also a Founding Board Member of Golf for Kids Northern NM, Inc., a 501(c)(3) charitable organization dedicated to funding junior golf play, practice, and instructional programs.
