New Principals Are Planning Strong Futures for REDW Clients & Team

It signifies important internal opportunities within REDW as well as the professional achievement and respect attained by the individuals. The firm would like to congratulate Wesley Ryan Benally, CPA, and Brandon Remley, CPA, in their new roles as firm principals.

Steve Cogan, REDW’s Managing Principal, said,

Wesley Ryan Benally is a licensed CPA in the State of Arizona with more than 15 years of experience in public accounting, performing audits of a wide range for Native American Communities, state and local governments agencies, and non-profits, nationwide. Beginning in 2022, he will be leading the well-known and respected National Tribal Practice at REDW, which provides insightful and timely information to REDW clients and Indian Country. Wesley is an enrolled member of the Navajo Nation and is committed to improving financial literacy across Indian Country, serving as an instructor for the Tribal Financial Managers Certificate Program at Arizona State University’s American Indian Policy Institute, a program sponsored by NAFOA. He will also continue helping direct the firm’s Insight in Indian Country Podcast and hosting other educational, virtual firm events that serve the community.

As a valued member of Arizona’s Peer Review Oversight Advisory Committee, Wesley is especially conscientious about of the impact of quality control on engagements. His board service with the Navajo Nation Gaming Enterprise provides him with insight into the concerns of the community and keeps him abreast of the regulatory issues affecting tribal gaming operations.

Brandon Remley, CPA | Principal

Brandon Remley, CPA, has close to 20 years of experience in public accounting, specializing in tax consulting and advisory services to businesses and family groups, and is a licensed CPA in the state of New Mexico. Primarily, he works collaboratively with business entities and owners in real estate, manufacturing, retail, and auto dealerships, ranging from partnerships to S and C corporations.

As a leader of REDW’s firm-wide initiative to optimize client experience, Brandon has been instrumental in implementing proactive client advisory services. He is also a strong believer in providing members of the Tax team with opportunities to advance their careers and pursue their individual passions. Also holding a board leadership role, Brandon serves on the board of the Commercial Real Estate Development Association (NAIOP), as well as holding memberships with the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the New Mexico Society of CPAs (NMSCPA), where he currently serves on its CPE Selection Committee.
