The firm is pleased to announce the mid-year promotions of 12 outstanding team members across a variety of service lines, and from each of its three offices, effective July 1, 2022.

AUDIT & ASSURANCE

Cait Gutierrez, CPA, CIDACait Gutierrez, CPA, CIDA to Internal Audit Senior Manager in REDW’s Albuquerque office. With 13 years of diverse experience in public accounting, having worked in the firm’s Tax and Wealth Management departments prior to joining the Internal Audit team, Cait has developed specialized skills that help her to strengthen her clients’ operational, financial, and strategic processes. In addition to being a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Cait is also a Certified Investments and Derivatives Auditor (CIDA) and a certified Six Sigma Black Belt.

Marcus BenallyMarcus Benally, MBA to Audit Manager in REDW’s Phoenix office. Since joining REDW in 2015, Marcus has gained significant experience working on numerous financial statement audit engagements and single audits of federal programs for governmental and healthcare clients. An enrolled member of the Navajo Nation, he is also a key member of the firm’s National Tribal Practice Team.

Roman Medrano, CPARoman Medrano, CPA to Audit Manager in REDW’s Phoenix office. Roman joined REDW in 2021, bringing five years of public accounting experience focused in such commercial industries as construction, manufacturing, distribution, and employee benefit plans. A licensed CPA, Roman holds a Bachelor of Business Administration with a double major in Accounting and Finance from the University of Arizona.

CLIENT ADVISORY & ACCOUNTING SERVICES (CAAS)

Michael MoraMichael Mora to CAAS Manager in REDW’s Albuquerque office. Since joining REDW in 2019, Michael has worked with the CAAS team to provide valuable accounting and advisory services to a wide variety of clients. An enrolled member of the Navajo Nation, Michael also serves as a member of the Governing Council and Finance & Audit Committee of the Native American Community Academy.

Ian LewisIan Lewis to Accounting Specialist I in REDW’s Albuquerque office. Ian originally joined REDW’s Operations Support team in 2021, bringing four years’ experience working in tribal government in a variety of accounting and administrative roles. Moving forward, he will apply his skills to support the firm’s CAAS clients. An enrolled member of the Pueblo of Acoma, Ian actively participates in the tribe’s traditional events.

HUMAN RESOURCES CONSULTING (HRC)

Laurel Roybal, THRPLaurel Roybal, THRP to Human Resources Compensation Consultant in REDW’s Albuquerque office. Laurel joined REDW’s Operations Support team in 2019 and in 2021 transferred to the HRC Department, where she excels in performing data analysis and developing client deliverables. She brings over 20 years of experience in compliance and administration, working with clients ranging from federal, state, and municipal governments to private companies. Laurel is also a certified Tribal HR Professional (THRP).

TAX

Jarred McMahan, CPAJarred McMahan, CPA to Tax Senior Manager in REDW’s Albuquerque office. Jarred has seven years of experience preparing taxes for nonprofit, corporate, partnership, and individual clients of all sizes. He is responsible for compiling all relevant data for various types of returns, while ensuring all appropriate deadlines are met, and communicating with clients every step of the way. Jarred currently serves as Treasurer for the American Subcontractors Association of New Mexico (ASA-NM).

Tamara L. Beall, CPATamara L. Beall, CPA to Tax Senior Manager in REDW’s Albuquerque office. Since joining REDW in 2019 with six years of experience as a tax accountant and supervisor, Tamara has excelled at preparing complex tax returns for a wide range of individual, corporate, not-for-profit, and flow-through entity clients. She was also recognized as an Outstanding Member in Community Service by the New Mexico Society of CPAs in 2021 and has been singled out as one of Albuquerque Business First’s “40 Under 40” in 2022.

Joseph Maes, CPAJoseph Maes, CPA to Tax Manager in REDW’s Albuquerque office. Joseph joined REDW in 2021 as a Tax Supervisor, bringing six years of experience in tax planning and tax return preparation for businesses, non-profits, and individuals. A licensed CPA, he holds a Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from the University of New Mexico.

Lisa Chen, CPA, MSTLisa Chen, CPA, MST to Tax Manager in REDW’s Phoenix office. Lisa joined REDW in 2020 as a Tax Supervisor, bringing varied experience providing tax services to individuals, partnerships, corporations, and S-corporations, as well as nonprofits, estates and trusts. She holds a Master of Taxation and Certificate in International Business from Arizona State University and is a licensed CPA. Lisa is also bi-lingual in English and Mandarin Chinese.

Matthew MollerMatthew Moller to Tax Senior Accountant in REDW’s Phoenix office. Once a Tax Intern with REDW, Matthew later returned as a Tax Accountant with a Master of Accounting from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. He now serves the firm’s tax clients as a Senior Accountant while pursuing his CPA license.

TECHNOLOGY SOLUTIONS

Amber JonesAmber Jones to Client Care Specialist in REDW’s Albuquerque office. Amber originally joined REDW in 2021 as an Operations Support Supervisor, and has since transitioned her superior organizational skills and client care credentials to support the Technology Solutions team, coordinating its many and varied training activities.
