The U.S Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) awarded six companies a total of $51.2 million in grants to support health care innovation programs with operations within the state of New Mexico. The funding benefits programs that are primarily focused on keeping patients out of hospitals, such as a medical home providing access to care 24/7 to reduce emergency room visits. Another provider will use the funds to implement a home visitation program for people in southern New Mexico.
