Abalos & Associates and Miller Allen Merge with REDW

REDWLLC, one of the largest and most respected certified public accounting and business consulting firms in the Southwest officially merged today with two prominent Phoenix-based firms—Abalos & Associates PLLC, and Miller, Allen & Co., P.C. The three firms first announced their unification plans on October 1. The consolidation under the REDW brand offers all three firms a broader set of resources, a greater depth of technical experience, and a more dynamic infrastructure to support their clients’ evolving needs.

“It’s a very exciting day for all of us at REDW,” said Ron Rivera, REDW’s Managing Principal. “We’ve been planning the details of this merger for nearly a year and today we can officially celebrate the result of our efforts. It’s incredibly gratifying to see our vision finally materialize,” Rivera added. “The expansion of our Phoenix office is a strategic move driven primarily by our strong commitment to providing Arizona clients with the level of service they need to succeed in today’s business environment.”

REDW will continue to operate from all three existing locations until December 3 when the new Phoenix office, located at 5353 North 16th Street, opens for business. The office will be home to 49 team members, ranking REDW as the 18th largest CPA firm in the Phoenix metropolitan area, according the Phoenix Business Journal, and increasing REDW’s overall Southwestern presence to nearly 200 professionals and administrative staff.

Allen, principal-in-charge of the REDW Phoenix office said, “REDW is elated to have joined with these two top-notch firms. Both Abalos & Associates and Miller Allen & Co. have incredible reputations for excellence in the Phoenix market.”

Representatives from the new firm were eager to share in the excitement of today’s merger. Sandra A. Abalos, CPA, REDW Principal and former managing partner of Abalos & Associates, said, “Today is an exciting day for us and our clients. We look forward to giving our clients access to the best and brightest that the financial services industry has to offer.” Steve Harris, REDW Principal and former partner of Miller, Allen & Co., shared, “We are so pleased to be a part of REDW. This partnership allows us to offer our clients a more robust platform to meet their needs—additional services and greater depth of resources while still providing the personal attention they have become accustomed to receiving.”

Allen, Harris and Abalos will lead REDW’s combined Phoenix office.
