REDW LLC, one of the Southwest’s 10 largest certified public accounting and business consulting firms, is proud to announce that it has been named the “Chief Bean Counters†in the annual “Hill of Beans†Food Drive. This is the fourth year the Firm has received this honor.
The competition benefits the St. Mary’s Food Bank Alliance and is in its 19th year. By participating, local accountants and financial planners are asked to collect the most “beans†for St. Mary’s; each pound of non-perishable food counts as one “bean†and every dollar collected counts as seven “beans.†This year, REDW contributed a winning 33,522 beans, beating last year’s win of 25,025 and translating to tens of thousands of meals for hungry Arizona families.
“This is an example of REDW’s culture and commitment to public service,†said Steve Harris, Audit & Consulting Principal. “In the communities that we live, work and serve, REDW’s team members support dozens of nonprofit organizations and their causes with both hands-on work and financial support.â€
Founded in 1967, St. Mary’s Food Bank Alliance is the world’s first food back and one of the largest food banks in the United States. They serve 13 of the 15 counties in Arizona.
